Appologies for lack of entries, not been having a very easy time here just lately.....kids are ok dont worry, its more me.

A question for you all

If you have taken out a bank loan, could it be possible for them to ring you out of the blue to ask you if you want a different interest rate?

I know its a silly question, and as i have never had a bank loan before i cannot answer it.

You would be doing me a massive favour if you know the answer.

love you all lots and lots

Joanne

I really do not know, we have never taken out a bank loan.  I would suggest though that before you do anything you pop into your bank and talk to somebody about it.  It could be because of the recent interest rate rise.  Discuss it and make sure you will not be any worse off and what protection you have against illness etc.

Joanne, go to the Moneysaving website and ask on there, lots of experts that know the ins and outs

No Joanne that is not normal for a High Street Bank or for any lending institution - loans are for fixed periods at fixed rates. If you want to tell me more then email me J spent years working in banking and one of daughters works in banking and I understand the money markets, rates etc.............as it is hobby of mine.

From personal experience, I've had banks offer a lower rate for my mortgage.  They do this, and you just pay for the "points", and they get your monthly payments down.  Julie :)
